Second annual Deere Farms Celebrate the Farmer Festival and Tractor Parade

The second annual Deere Farms Celebrate the Farmer Festival and Tractor Parade will feature a pumpkin pie eating contest, antiques, John Deere plow-in, a giant pumpkin weigh-in contest, pig races, Deere Farms' Corn Maze, a pumpkin patch, horse-drawn carriage rides, tire rolling contest, bounce house and a 25 mile tractor parade. Celebrate the Farmer festivities take place at Deere Farms from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Schedule of Events:

11 a.m. - 5 p.m. -- Arts and crafts booths open. Cotton Gin and Blacksmiths, Sponsored by Miller Farms

11 a.m. - 5 p.m. -- Old Fashioned Butchering Exhibition, Sponsored by Limeberry Lumber

11 a.m. - 7 p.m. -- Pork Chop and Pork Burger Grills Open, Sponsored by Miller Farms

11 a.m. - 7 p.m. -- Pony Rides, Sponsored by Welcome Home Carriage

noon - 3 p.m. -- Giant Tire Rolling Contest for 2 Family members, Sponsored by Corydon Stone and Asphalt

noon - 4 p.m. -- Bengal Tiger Exhibit benefiting Wildlife In Need

12:30 - 5:30 p.m. -- Little Pig Races, Sponsored by Tractor Supply

1 p.m. -- Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest (no hands allowed), Sponsored by Dawns Creations

1 - 4 p.m. -- Corn Hole Tournament, Sponsored by Voelker Construction

2 p.m. -- John Deere Plow-in on the Deere Farms Back 40, Sponsored by Deer Country

3 p.m. -- Wear Your Best John Deere Gear Contest winners selected, Sponsored by Deer Country

3 p.m. -- Begin Line-up for Tractor Parade through Harrison County

4 p.m. -- Tractor Parade Leaves Deere Farms promptly at 4 p.m., Sponsored by Deer Country -- 20 mile Countryside Hayride for 1960's and newer tractors (15 to 25 MPH), 8 Mile Countryside Hayride for 1950's and older tractors (6 to 9 MPH), All Makes and Models welcome - Red, Blue, Orange, Green, Yellow, other (Wagon and riders optional), Harrison County Police escort.

This is "Drive your Tractor and Wagon" to Deere Farms day and receive a $2 adult discount and $1 child discount corn maze admission for driver, family and friends participating on your hay-ride wagon. WAGON AND RIDERS OPTIONAL. FREE Farm admission. Reserved Tractor Parking.
