Head to one of our caves and warm up!

Are you tired of the cold? Try one of our cave tours and enjoy a temperature of 52 degrees.

Marengo Cave, located at 400 East State Road 64 in Marengo, is a United States National Natural Landmark. It offers a variety of underground splendor rarely seen in a single cave. Marengo Cave has cave tours, gemstone mining, the crawl, a nature trail that takes you to the natural entrance of the cave, cave exploring and more. They are currently using their winter hours and are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

Squire Boone Caverns is located at 100 Squire Boone Road in Mauckport. Here you can explore caverns discovered in 1790 by Squire and Daniel Boone, plus a pioneer village featuring soap making, candle dipping, gemstone mining and a candy factory. They have one-hour guided tours, waterfalls and formations. The Village is handicap accessible but is only open during the summer only. Cave tours depart at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
