Have we got a full weekend of events for you and your Valentine this weekend in Historic Corydon Harrison County!
Today's events consist of live music by Tyron Cotton at Blue River Cafe beginning at 7 p.m. Blue River Cafe is located at 128 Main Street in Milltown. They do appreciate reservations so give them a call at 812-633-7510 to make yours.
On Saturday, Feb. 13, and again on Sunday, Feb. 14, take your Valentine to Chocolate Lovers Weekend at Turtle Run Winery and the other wineries on the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail. Each winery will be pairing chocolate with their wines from noon to 6 p.m. Turtle Run Winery is located at 940 St. Peters Church Road in Corydon. They can be reached at 817-2-TURTLE. After their Chocolate Lovers Weekend, Turtle Run Winery will host a Wine Appreciation Class beginning at 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. This delightful class will include a dinner paired with wine and some wine lessons by owner, Jim Pfeiffer. Reservations are required for this event and the cost is $40 per person.
You can also head to Scout Mountain Winery for their Valentine Delight on Feb. 13 and 14 from noon to 6 p.m. Scout Mountain Winery, located at 2145 Scout Mountain Road in Corydon, will serve chocolate desserts and fondue for you to enjoy while tasting their wines. Indian Creek Winery will also be having their chocolate event, the Chocolate Weekend on Saturday, Feb. 13, and again on Sunday, Feb. 14, from noon to 6 p.m. They will have a chocolate fountain flowing with various fruits, cheeses and other delicious items for dipping of course along with wine tasting. Indian Creek Winery is located at 6491 County Line Road in Georgetown and can be reached at 502-396-6209.
When you are done at the wineries, head to the Corydon Jamboree for their Saturday night music show featuring Christy Miller and Roger Conley. The doors open at 7 p.m. and admission is $10, children 6 to 10 years of age is $6, children 5 and under are free. The Corydon Jamboree, located at 220 Hurst Lane in Corydon, is a 400+ seat auditorium that features a state-of-the-art sound system. For more information on Saturday's show, call 812-738-1130.
You can also enjoy more live music, by Bill Storey, a master guitarist, at the Blue River Cafe on Saturday evening beginning at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, Indian Creek Winery will host a catered Valentine's Dinner. For reservations or for more information call them at 502-396-6209.
Head back to Turtle Run Winery for their Chocolate Lovers Weekend event and a concert. The Ron Jones Jazz Duo will be performing from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
