Don't Forget About Run for the Wall TOMORROW!

This message is especially meant for local residents, but all are welcome and encouraged to help!

We need to get as many folks as possible to turn out to welcome Run for the Wall on Tuesday, May 25, 6:00 p.m. as they roll into Downtown Corydon and to the Fairgrounds. RFTW is a cross-country motorcycle ride made up mostly of Veterans. They are riding to DC to visit the Vietnam Memorial (Wall) and to attend other Memorial Day weekend ceremonies.

Originated over 20 years ago, the first rides were probably mostly made up of Vietnam Vetarans. As they are getting older, and as other veterans of other wars are coming home, younger veterans are joining the ride. For some, this is a chance to get the welcome home they never got. For all, this is a way to honor those they served with, to remember those that didn't make it back, and a way to be together to heal from the unseen scars of war. This is a special opportunity to participate in the Memorial Day Weekend.

Please come out on Tuesday night, May 25, 6:00 p.m., and help Corydon welcome them to town. Bring a flag!
