The Village at Squire Boone Caverns opens May 29


The Village at Squire Boone Caverns will open Saturday, May 29 for the 2010 summer season. Gristmill demonstrations, Lye soap demonstrations and candle demonstrations will be going on all weekend. The bakery, candy cabin, rock shop and gem mining sluice will also be opening on May 29. All the demonstrations will be going on all three days of Memorial Day weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

At Squire Boone Caverns you can explore caverns discovered in 1790 by Squire and Daniel Boone, plus a pioneer village featuring soap making, candle dipping, gemstone mining and a candy factory. One-hour guided cavern tours, waterfalls and formations. The Village is handicap accessible and is open during the summer only.
